With every wedding that I shoot, I do my very best to capture the best moments that you will want to relive again and again and my follow up goal is to display them for your family, friends, etc.  I no longer feel like I am displaying them in the best way possible on this blog which is why my blogging home is changing yet again – to insure the best viewing possible to all of my admitted stalkers and brides.  I feel like this is very exciting and I am excited to show my new blog that I have been working on!

I’m really sorry for any inconvenience this is causing but please update your favorites to now include this blog:

Now head on over there because I have two new posts for you!

Chateau Elan is one of the locations I had always hoped to do a wedding at and Saturday I got my chance.  The location itself just oozes with romance and the grandeur of the buildings is just picture perfect.  Not to mention the beautiful vineyards!  Couple all of that with a gorgeous bride and dapper groom and my job was just super easy!  Erika & Jordan were married Saturday evening and although it was a very warm day, we were all very thankful the rain stayed away (at least until after the reception ended).  Enjoy!

If you look closely you can see some of the sand falling out of the container.  Erika joked later that she hoped they would be ok since some of their unity didn’t make it. I have a hunch they’ll be alright :)…

As the night went on I went outside to take a few nighttime pictures of the beautiful buildings.  After I snapped a few I remembered that Erika wanted to do some nighttime pictures.  With the sky being a perfect blue I ran inside to grab them and they eagerly ran back outside with me.  I bet it was pretty humorous to watch us but I love how they turned out…

My body is telling me to go to bed!  It’s after midnight and I just got home from Erika & Jordan’s gorgeous wedding at Chateau Elan which is just a breathtaking place to take pictures.  So, instead of going to bed I wanted to share one of my favorite pictures from tonight.  There are many more to come but for now…

It’s So Hard Being A Dog…

Lately at almost every wedding I’ve been to I have people come up and tell me, “I just love your dog”.  Which, of course, I just LOVE to hear!  So, I thought I would post some of the pictures I’ve taken of my sweet little Peter pie since my last posting.  He likes to follow me around, sleep and eat pretty much all day so here he is doing just those things…

I also love when his lip gets caught on his teeth like this.  SO CUTE!

Yesterday Peter was just barking at this squirrel up in one of our trees.  I, of course, took pictures instead of trying to save the squirrel 🙂

More wedding pictures are coming soon but until then I hope you enjoy the pictures of my sweet dog!

Erin & AJ

I don’t even know where to begin!  Saturday was such a special wedding for me and I was so thrilled to capture the moments of Erin & AJ’s wedding.  Not only is Erin a dear friend of mine from way back into probably elementary school but their wedding took place at the church that we both grew up in.  This was my first wedding here and spending the day at the church brought back so many memories.  And now, I have so many new memories in that place as I watched Erin and AJ laugh and cry throughout their wedding day.  They were married at Clinton Memorial United Methodist Church and the very fun reception was held at Gettysvue Country Club in Knoxville.

I definitely have to give a shoutout to one of my new favorite florists!  Leah McCall from Whimsical Gatherings did an AMAZING job on the flowers and they were just so very Erin that it truly complimented the day so well.  Please visit her website!

The bridesmaids came up with an original song and dance to perform for Erin & AJ at the reception.  Here they are practicing before Erin gets to the church…so cute…

This made me so nervous…

Erin didn’t want any of her bridesmaids to even see the dress before she was completely ready and could put it on and show them.  I love the reactions on their faces as they see their friend for the first time…

Smalling Family – 6 mos.

Yesterday I got to meet up with the Smalling family again for Stella & Harper’s 6 month pictures.  I met them in January when the little bundle of joys came home and it was so exciting to see how much they have grown!  And boy are they filled with so much personality too.  It’s just amazing to watch babies come into their own.  When I first met Stella and Harper I could hardly tell them apart but now they look so distinctively different.  The whole family is just adorable and I can’t wait to photograph them again!

At weddings, most bridal parties like to do the silly picture after taking a few other pictures.  I feel like these two pictures are that version of those two different types of pictures:
